The King Cupcake!

Some of you are aware of how The King, aka Elvis, loved his Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwiches. And who can blame him? It's one of the greatest combinations out there. I know that Elvis didn't have bacon on his sandwiches, but if he would have tried it, he would never just go with the simple peanut butter and banana ever again. This cupcake is the ULTIMATE sandwich cupcake. I tried to create something The King would be quick to approve of!

This Cake is a White Bread Cake soaked with Sunrise Grocery's local Sourwood Honey, Filled with Caramelized Bananas, Frosted with Peanut Butter Frosting, and Garnished with Bacon Crumbles and a Honey Drizzle.

Okay, before you X off the page in terror. The bacon is perfect on this! Think about it... salty and sweet, rich... bacon just naturally pairs well with sweet stuff. (You can't tell me you've never dragged your bacon through leftover pancake syrup!) A lot of people were a little apprehensive about trying this cupcake because it seems strange, but everyone who tried it said they were pleasantly surprised! You'll want bacon on every cupcake you ever eat after this;)
